How we help

In 2011, we assisted 88 detainees with travel costs for their friends or families to come to visit them while they were detained at Gatwick.

We helped 652 detainees keep in touch with friends, family and solicitors by providing international phonecards in 2011.

GDWG provided clothing to 343 detainees in 2011, many of whom arrive at the centre with little more than what they are standing up in.
